Shameless Season 6 Complete
Shameless was renewed for a sixth season on January 12, 2015; which premiered on January 10, 2016.[15] The writers began working on the season on April 6, 2015.[16] Principal photography for the season began on August 5, 2015.[17]
Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gives the sixth season 100%, based on 10 reviews. The critics consensus reads, "Shameless' sixth season charts a tragic trajectory for the Gallaghers, leaving viewers in suspense as they hope against hope that this family from the wrong side of the tracks can find long-lasting stability."[18]
However, the strongest element tonight is also the one they saved for last. Indeed, the ending of the episode is almost a last minute reprieve to what I feared was going to be a season-long deception: Debbie is still very pregnant.
But whether that happens or not, the imminent possibility of it makes that a wildly out-there start to a new season. With Debbie chasing the Juno ideal and Carl well on his way to finding his Gangster Paradise, Shameless is proving that, unlike other premium cable shows, it still has somewhere to go. The series is getting up there in years now, but the sixth season is taking the characters to new places (other than perhaps Fi who is circling back to lost ground) and is promising a more complicated and gonzo series than what has come before.

The reveal caps a season in which Fiona and all the Gallaghers were seeking their own version of normalcy. The latest example was Frank, who paid for the formal wedding in an attempt to do right by his family.
Besides that, Fiona Gallagher continued her merry way of breaking hearts, by moving from one man to another until she fixated on Sean. Going into season six, this was one of the most anticipated storylines, along with Ian's journey from a young teenager to a bipolar adult. Here's how every episode from the sixth outing of the show ranks according to IMDb.
In the second episode of season 6, the focus shifts to Debbie and the best parts feature her going up against the children at school, because, it turns out, people aren't always happy with young moms.
In the first episode of season 6, Frank isn't happy or one can say, he is now starting to appreciate life after losing Bianca. While the fans feel for him, the way he acts makes for a couple of hilarious moments.
In the third episode of season 6, Fiona has two things to take care of. One, she has to convince Debbie about abortion but it looks like she has given up. And the second one is a surprise as she reunites with Gus.
In the sixth episode of season 6, Fiona has a chance to buy back The Gallagher house but it comes with conditions. Lip is trying to do everything to help Helene, as legal charges are pressed against her, but Lip ultimately can't really do much.
In the ninth episode of season 6, a lot is happening but the main bits feature two characters, namely Fiona and Frank. Sean isn't even talking to Fiona and the latter is hell-bent on mending the relationship. She will have to do something about it, though.
In the season 6 finale, the Gallaghers cement their spot as one of the most dysfunctional families to ever appear on the TV screens. Fiona is about to have the day of her dreams but there he is, Frank, who is all but ready to destroy Fiona's happiness.
Prepare yourself, the new season of Shameless is here, with new episodes only on SHOWTIME! Last season was a doozy: Debbie entered motherhood at 15, Lip was kicked out of college and forced into alcohol counseling, Ian snagged a sexy firefighter boyfriend. And that doesn't even begin to cover what happened in last night's premiere - available to stream only on SHOWTIME.
Last season Ian made miles of progress: he entered into arguably his first healthy same-sex relationship, obtained his EMT license, and underwent his first ever HIV test! It'd be super interesting to watch Ian push himself even further this season. Perhaps he could officially move out of the Gallagher household and get his first ever apartment? It'd be great to watch Ian try to obtain some sense of normalcy in his life, especially after all that he's been through. After that, the only real #adulting Ian has left do is opening up a 401K TBH.
It would be fab to have another major queer character on the show. Perhaps Ian could make a major gay bestie this season? I mean, outside of dating guys and dancing in the gay club, we haven't really seen Ian interact with the gay world outside of a romantic context. So it would be great to see Ian create more varied, platonic queer relationships.
The Gallaghers took their final bows in the Shameless series finale, but it didn't feel like much of an end for any of the characters, with one major exception. Warning: If you haven't seen the episode that marked the end of eleven seasons, spoilers ahead. 2ff7e9595c
